A Birthday Surprise
We did it! In less than two months, we have already surpassed our goal of $5,000! Your incredible generosity and support of this cause has been overwhelming beyond words. It has been inspiring to watch donations come in every week from family, friends, coworkers, and even strangers. I have never experienced a more awesome display of love and kindness, and I can't wait to share it with my dad.
On Friday, April 11th (6:30 pm), we will celebrate my dad's 57th birthday. He is expecting a small party with a few friends and family, but we'd like to surprise him with more. As I present him with the Remission Trip to Italy that evening, I would like to enhance the surprise by having those who contributed in attendance. We could not have done this without you, and you should all be there to help us celebrate! Even if you are unable to make it, your generosity will still be acknowledged and your name will be included with the list of contributors on this inside cover of his Italy Travel Guide book.
At the end of March, I sent email invitations with more detail about his Italian themed birthday party. If you did not receive one, please contact me and I'll send you more info. Although I'm usually terrible at keeping secrets, we have managed to keep my dad completely in the dark; now we just need to make sure it stays that way a little longer! My brother will be flying in from Oregon for the big surprise, and I hope that many of you will be there too. It is sure to be an exciting night full of food, wine, and celebration!
